At AM/FM, we’re all about making noise—smart, impactful noise. Since 2014, our Edmonton-based agency has been shaking up the marketing world with clever campaigns that get people talking. Now, we’re looking for a temporary Web Developer to step in and keep our digital projects running smoothly while a team member is away on parental leave— trading debugging for diaper duty and learning a whole new kind of syntax: baby talk.

If you’re a skilled web developer with a passion for crafting sleek, high-performing websites, this is your chance to jump in, make an impact, and contribute to some exciting projects. While this is a contract role, there’s potential for an extension if it’s a great fit.

The Role

For six months, you’ll be a key player in our creative team, ensuring our client websites run flawlessly. You’ll build, maintain, and optimize digital experiences—primarily marketing sites and digital annual reports—while troubleshooting issues and responding to client requests.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and can hit the ground running.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain websites using WordPress, Astro Framework, HTML, SCSS, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Manage WordPress sites via cPanel and Plesk, using WordPress Toolkit for efficient site administration.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement fast, effective solutions.
• Handle client requests for website updates, new features, and optimizations.
• Collaborate with designers, content strategists, and project managers to bring creative visions to life.
• Adhere to our technical standards and best practices for web development.

Who You Are

• A proven web developer with experience in WordPress, Astro Framework, HTML, SCSS, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Confident in managing cPanel and Plesk, with experience using the WordPress Toolkit.
• Strong troubleshooting skills—you don’t just identify problems, you solve them.
• A clear communicator who can collaborate effectively with both clients and internal teams.
• Able to work independently while staying aligned with team goals and deadlines.

Bonus Points If You Have Experience With:

• React, PHP, Elementor, WP Bakery, Bootstrap, UIkit
• Building marketing sites and digital annual reports
